Question # 160
Posted Friday August 31, 2012
Q) What can you do if you are momentarily stumped for an answer?

A) After a question is asked, you can pause for thought, then ask the interviewer, “Can you help me with that question?” or “To make sure I understand, could you run that by me again?” The question will usually be repeated in more detail, buying you more time to think.  You can use this a couple of times in an interview and it will just seem as if you are listening with close attention.
