How do I open my Resume or Job Search letter templates?
Several Knock ’em Dead eBooks come with Templates in .DOTX format. This is a widely compatible modern format, however here is a list of programs with known .DOTX compatibility, for your convenience:

Microsoft Word
Apple iWork Pages
LibreOffice
Open Office

LibreOffice & OpenOffice are free, open-source software, so anyone can use it who does not own a commercial word processor. Simply open your Templates from one of these programs and you’re ready to go!

NOTE: Many people have experienced compatibility issues with .DOTX format in Microsoft Word 2003. If you run into this issue, we recommend that you consider a free alternative such as OpenOffice or LibreOffice which, as there is no official fix for this issue from Microsoft. This situation may change as Microsoft releases ongoing updates, and we encourage you to keep your software updates for compatibility and security reasons. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
